There is insufficient evidence available to objectively verify whether or not Dawood Ibrahim's gang member had called Uddhav Thackeray's residence.Reports alleged that security was beefed up at Maharastra’s Chief Minister (CM) Uddav Thackeray's personal residence Matoshree located in Mumbai’s Kalanagar Colony as it is reported that someone called upon phone number two times on September 05, 2020 night and said that Dawood Ibrahim wanted to talk to CM Uddhav Thackeray. Both the calls were received around 10.30 pm and the telephone operator did not transfer the call to the CM. The caller did not reveal his identity but only said that he was calling from Dubai on behalf of Dawood Ibrahim.

This issue was also discussed in the cabinet meeting and Police are trying to verify whether the calls received were from Dubai or some other place.

Another news agency has reported that four calls were received after 11 PM Out of which, 2 are missed calls.

As the investigation is still ongoing and there are contradictory news reports about this incident, an official confirmation, or a statement by the authorities is awaited.
