Foreign nationals have been quarantined at the Isha Foundation and they have offered their premises to the State Government to fight coronavirus. The Isha Foundation on 01 April 2020 has clarified that it took precautionary measures much before the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 as a pandemic and earlier to central and state government's announcement of lockdown and travel bans imposition. It further added other foreign nationals who visited the Center were requested to observe a mandatory 28-day quarantine period. They have requested visitors from China, Japan, Singapore and other COVID-19 affected countries not to travel to the Yoga Center as a precautionary measure both for travellers as well as for the larger community.

Extending support to the Tamil Nadu government in its efforts to contain Coronavirus(COVID-19), Isha Foundation on 27 March 2020 offered the use of its buildings and premises in Coimbatore for medical purposes. They requested millions of its volunteers across the world, especially in India, to take care of at least two families of daily wage earners and ensure they are properly nourished.

The Hindu newspaper quoting the Coimbatore district administration has said the foreigners had arrived much before the government notification and are in quarantine on Isha Yoga campus. The Health Department had conducted a check-up and are monitoring them regularly.
