News reports confirm that the Karnataka government has allowed zoos to open from 8 June 2020.The Central Government has issued guidelines to ease the lockdown from 8 June. The first phase of unlocking had a list of the reopening of places like restaurants, shopping malls, zoos, etc outside the containment zones. Moreover, the Karnataka government has also allowed zoos to open from June 8 with taking necessary precautions that have been mandated. Mysore zoo will reopen after 3 months of lockdown that is on 8 June and it will be open between 10 AM and 5.30 PM for 5 days in a week and will remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays.
