A tweet by Railway’s Minister confirms that a maximum of 215 Shramik special trains was sent by the state of Gujarat.Piyush Goyal on 11 May 2020 in a tweet thanked Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for taking the initiative by sending more than 215 Shramik trains from Gujarat to various states for transportation of migrant workers who were stranded during the lockdown. Other states too sent trains for migrants which was much less compared to Gujarat.
