There is insufficient evidence to prove a TNC link to BJP leader Manish Shukla's death, and the investigation is still ongoing.Manish Shukla, BJP Councillor and a lawyer by possession from Titagarh, West Bengal, was shot dead by unknown assailants on October 4, 2020, near Titagarh police station in Brackpore area. Condemning the incident BJP, vice president in West Bengal Arjun Singh stated that Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee should be held responsible for killing 120 BJP workers during her tenure, including that of Manish Shukla. He also said that BJP did not have any faith left in the state government and urged for a CBI inquiry. Manoj Verma, Commissioner of Police, Barrackpore, stated that they are investigating the matter and working on the clues. He can't share any details right now, and they have not arrested anyone yet. Until the culprits are arrested, and the investigation report has been submitted, the death of BJP leader Manish Shukla cannot be blamed on the Trinamool Congress.
