COVID-19 situation in Delhi has improved after Amit Shah intervened to control the spread of the virus. On June 14, 2020, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal besides senior officers, where several important decisions had taken to ensure the safety of the citizens of Delhi to fight against the coronavirus. He assured that the Central Government would provide 500 converted rail coaches equipped with all facilities in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. He announced a slew of other measures, including more testing and boosting hospitalization capacity.

It had a positive effect as Delhi witnessed lower hospitalization with more empty beds available. Also, the daily testing capacity has been increased, and the death rate has reduced in comparison to the previous month of June. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, too said that the COVID-19 situation in the national capital has improved than in June and thanked everyone in assisting with the State Government.
